The villa was named after the lovely village Cómpeta, which is only a 10-minutes drive away.
Cómpeta is located at an altitude of 638 m, it's one of the most beautiful white villages in Andalusia
The charming village lays at the foot of the beautiful mountain areas of Tejeda And Almijara. Almonds and honey are important, typical local products. The landscape is characterized by mountains with olive and fruit trees and many vineyards, which grapes deliver the sweet Málaga wine.
The picturesque village is located on the 'Ruta del Sol y Vino' (wine route) with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed houses and a beautiful village church. The oldest church in the village: "La Asunción" was built in the 16th century in the Baroque-Mudejar style and is special because of the beautiful murals. The church is located in the main square, Plaza Almajira, with a tiled picture of the history of Cómpeta. The village dates back to before the 15th century and despite earthquakes the Moorish influences are still clearly visible.
